We light up our 2016 Ford Superduty with new headlights and new truck bed lights. We also tweak a previous renovation in our Outdoors RV 250RDS Titanium Series travel trailer. We are living the high life with our outdoor living space in our rv site. #rvrenovation #snowbirds #curtisanddebbie #canadianyoutubers #trucklights #rvsite #rvlifestyle #outdoorspaces #outdoorsrv #rvlife #rvfulltime

We are settling into this new scenario of being RV stationary! This is something so new for us to have full hookups and no restrictions! #canadianyoutubers #canadian #snowbirds #curtisanddebbie #outdoorsrv #orv250rds #rvfulltime #rvliving #beautifullife

We launch our 2024/25 Snowbird Season with a twist. Seeking community is the driver for our change of scenery this year. Sometimes you have to make happen what you are lacking and this season will be focused on exactly that. #ncsn #curtisanddebbie #rvlife #rvfulltime #rvdogs #snowbirds #outdoorsrv #ORV250RDS #beautifullife

Snowbirds beeline it to Desert Hot Springs CA to get to the warm sunshine! #snowbirds #ncsn #curtisanddebbie #rvlife #rvfulltime #rvtrip #rvdogs #outdoorsrv #ORV250RDS

We finally get to put work behind us, say our goodbyes and cross the USA border to escape the winter! #snowbird #chasing70 #sunshine #curtisanddebbie

We get a view into Curtis’s work life and how many kilometers he drives in a week. Because of his incredible hard work, we are able to travel south as snowbirds for six months out of the year. #ncsn #curtisanddebbie #rvfulltime #rvlife #snowbirds #hardworkingman #dedication #driving #workhard

We are desperately wrapping up work and getting things prepared to start our snowbird season. We were hoping to skip winter but it found us…snow, cold, and frozen hoses. #winter #winterrv #frozenhoses #ncsn #curtisanddebbie #rvfulltime #rvlife #snowroad

Truck maintenance is a must and in this lifestyle it is doubly important. TrueBlue has to be in top condition to safely haul The Rig to all of our destinations. Unplanned repairs are often unavoidable but proactive maintenance is a little bit of insurance.

We overhaul our rv kitchen in our Outdoors RV 250RDS Titanium travel trailer. We travel fulltime and we needed a more functional kitchen to fit our lifestyle complete with an Equator Super Combo washer/dryer. #rvfulltime #rvrenovation #rvlifewithdogs #ncsn #combowasherdryer #beautifullife #curtisanddebbie #rvdogs #rvkitchen

Outdoors RV 250 RDS-T RV kitchen renovation – a 2 part series. Part 1 we remove our RV kitchen and install an Equator Super Combo washer/dryer Pet Edition. Curtis shows how he replumbed and wired for the install and shows the framework for our new kitchen.

Summer is wrapping up for us and now Curtis’s work gets completely crazy. He will be working exponential overtime as he tries to wrap up his projects so that we can go south for the winter.

We try out the Firman dual fuel 3200ie generator from Costco (because of its size) to see if it would be able to replace our Honda EU3000IS.

We take the LC500 into our first car show and have a blast! An entire weekend surrounded by beautiful hot cars in the hot July sun, #lc500 #carshow #hotsummer #car #ncsn #rvlife #rvfulltime #beautifullife

We wanted summer and we found it! #summer #beautifullife #rvlife #rvfulltime#outdoorsrv #boating #bestlife #provincialpark #camping #rvdogs #boating #family

While we are waiting on summer to appear we buy and assemble a modular couch. We also celebrate Debbie’s birthday with fishing and cake…she’s easy to please!

We finally get our furnace sorted and can quit shivering in the morning. We announce the winner to our photo contest and have some wild guests swing by on the hay ranch!

We share our favourite RV/Truck upgrades and accessories that make this life easier. These are the things we would never do without.

Curtis blames Debbie for the broken RV furnace hahaha 🙂 It is super chilly and the trailer is a little frosty come morning!

This week we show the install of our RVLock keyless entry. This has been an excellent upgrade and has given us a great peace of mind.

This week we review our winter travel and highlight some of our favourite places and things. This wraps up our winter season and kicks off our summer season.

Let’s talk about RV black and grey tanks! It’s a crappy subject but it needs to be tackled so let’s dive in…figuratively! Curtis definitely wins for being committed…check out the end of the video to catch him in action!

A quick update after a very very long day…for us! 🙂 We are making our way back to Canada and inching towards the end of our Chasing The Sun Snowbird season.

We hit some more Curtis bucket list items and check out the Hoover Dam. We also go t0 Las Vegas and see one of Curtis’s favourites…Miranda Lambert. That songbird can sing!

We tour some Phoenix highlights and go on a date. All of this time together and we still need to eek out quality time.

Oh let’s just go six stories underground where the bats and creepy crawlers live! Needless to say this was chosen by Curtis to checkout The Colossal Caves 45 minutes SE of Tucson AZ

That’s It! We’re done turn this rig around! Bisbee Az is the end of the line for us.

Curtis pushes us higher on a hike in the Saguaro National Park (near Tucson AZ). We also take in the Pima Air and Space Museum. Both are must sees when you are in the Tucson AZ area.

After taking a 2 week hiatus at Catalina Spa & RV Resort in Desert Hot Springs we are back on the road and off to Blythe before we launch into Arizona. Curtis even performs a song 🙂

To say we have had bad weather is an understatement but this… well even we couldn’t foresee getting evacuated!

Bad Fuel? Engine conking out? It’s been a trip! This week TrueBlue doesn’t sound very good, we take in Hearst Castle, J.Lohr wine tasting, Carmel By The Sea and little do we know that the weather change at Morro Bay was just the beginning!

Between Curtis’s work and the weather we only had half a day to take in all of the sites of San Francisco…we will need to go back!

TrueBlue has new brake…brakes are good! We are finally back on the road after too long of a delay in Fort Bragg. Chasing the sun and hoping we find it!

This week we find ourselves in California and on The Lost Coast of California. We drove HWY 1 from Leggett to Ft Bragg and it is certainly a winding road. No shoulders and very little wiggle room.

Stormy weather, rough seas, king tides and a New Year all make for some spectacular photos! Harris Beach State Park has some major wow factor as does the southern Oregon coastline!

This week we made our way to our Christmas destination at South Beach State Park near Newport, Oregon. We would be commenting on how nice it is without snow but apparently there’s no snow back home either!

We reveal the RV kitchen renovation and launch our new season of Chasing The Sun 2023/24

We are wrapping up work, RV renovations, and family time. We can’t wait to be on the road chasing the sunshine. Next week we start our new season Chasing The Sun 2023/24

We tackle some routine maintenance, find a bad build flaw with our RV, and hustle to get everything done to head south to escape winter.

Well Huxley has learned the hard way that there are some cardinal rules on a ranch that are not to be broken!!! We are two weeks from the next season where we head south for 5 months of snowbird travel.

Things never seem to go as planned. Work and life pull us apart for a few weeks as we meet our individual commitments…but the scenery…WOW!!!

Full time RV life…you need to be a little handy. Repairs and maintenance are inevitable.

Full time RV life and a full time job…how do we do it? This week we show you what Curtis does for a living.

Backing up an RV trailer can be tough, throw in a relationship and anything can happen! We share tips of how we back up our trailer with our relationship intact!

We wrap up the summer season and look forward to the upcoming snowbird season.

“We are just looking. We are not buying…we are just seeing if we can rule them out for the future.” Curtis has a 2 year plan… will we stick to it or will we be buying a new home? Time will tell.

Debbie runs away from home to help our daughter and family move from Saskatchewan back to BC. Curtis takes on Huxley and Luna while still managing jobs in three different communities. His new work truck is racking on the miles.

We are settled back on the hay ranch as Curtis is working long hours as they rush to complete jobs to beat the winter .

The first day of fall arrives with ice and instant leaf colour changes. With fall comes all of the critters looking for a warm place to hunker down for the weather…including mice! Our poor truck TrueBlue has once again become the mouse hotel of choice!

We are back! After a long hiatus from posting we are back with our one year review of fulltime RV life. The good, the bad, and the ugly! Thank you for checking in and we hope you enjoy.

We thought we would  share an edited version of the girl’s road trip from last summer. We post this in loving memory of our Mom. She is the toughest lady you ever did meet! Also the most caring, loving, thoughtful, funny, honest, and positive person. Momma you will be missed!

We pick up our new boat and give you a tour… it’s definitely not what we thought !

The photography opportunities have been amazing at Sunset View and this week’s video has a spectacular slideshow. RV life is full of wonder…and also repairs! This week we tackle the mosquito/blackfly highway into our RV!

Dry camping in our Outdoors RV 250 RDS at Green Lake Provincial Park, BC. We discover mice like our truck as much as we do and make a home in the engine compartment! Eviction or termination…it’s their choice!

We said we were hoping and praying for rain and we got it! The heat wave is over and the mosquitos are jumping for joy. We continue to struggle with getting the hang of fly fishing. It is so different than fishing with a spin reel.

Finally we are camping! We are so excited to be taking in the scenery at Howard Lake BC and it is hot!

How we extend our boondocking in our Outdoors RV 250 RDS. Also stick around to the end as we reveal our boat envy solution.

A short video this week as we take sometime to go fly fishing at Hathaway Lake. The warm weather has arrived and we are back wearing shorts and sandals …woohoo! Alberta’s wildfire smoke has rolled in and the air quality is harsh; praying they get rain soon!

We setup at our “homebase” on our friend’s hay ranch with some tips on using our auto levelling system in tricky conditions. Curtis starts his work season after 5 months off .. he’s counting the days until we head south. We’ve got the the boat bug bad!!!!! We are trying to resist the temptation but…well it’s not looking promising!

Dry camping in our Outdoors RV 250RDS is our primary full time RV living camping style. We struggled with just our batteries, a portable solar panel, and a generator. We did a solar/power upgrade to a 750 Amp hour 3000 watt/125 amp charger system with 1140 watts of solar panels…This changes everything!

This week we tear out our dinette and make a way more usable office space; as well, we share some other renovations and modifications we’ve done to make our rv more livable.

This week we make plans for a RV renovation to accommodate our Costco ‘problem’. Curtis starts to gear up for the upcoming work season and we watch somewhat patiently for Spring to arrive.

This week we are winter camping in Prince George BC, battling freezing lines, and lamenting our Airskirts. Debbie has to part ways with Tough and settle in with TrueBlue while we all long for Spring

This week we review our snowbird journey for 2022/23. We travelled down the Oregon/California coast then to Palm Desert, La Quinta, Mesa, Phoenix, Yuma, Lake Castaic, Santa Clarita with many more stops planned. Things changed and we needed to beeline back to Canada to be with family but we sure enjoyed the journey of chasing the sunshine

We beelined it for Prince George BC Canada to be with Debbie’s parents as her mom is not doing well. Somehow we managed to not get caught in any of the major storms in California or Oregon. They were ahead of us and behind us but never on us …Phew!!!

We stayed five nights at Castaic Lake Recreation campground near Santa Clarita and took in a day of fun at Magic Mountain…well maybe it wasn’t all fun for Curtis! We were debating where to head next but the decision was made for us.

We go boondocking in Anza-Borrego, day trip to Blair Valley and Stay at Lake Perris. Curtis shares his warped humour and exposes what I live with on a day to day basis!

We had a great time enjoying some R&R with good friends in Yuma AZ. We also took a little day trip into Los Algodones.

Join us this week as Debbie flies home and leaves Curtis to check off one of his bucket list items…Barrett Jackson Auction.

Join us this week as we look back on our first two months of snowbirding. Not a lot of surprises but definitely some affirmations.

Join us this week as we take in the desert, the zoo, horses and Lake Cahuilla. So many things to see and so much to do!

Anza-Borrego State Park and Borrego Springs in California were definitely a fantastic surprise and highlight of our time in the desert. We laughed so hard and enjoyed ourselves so much that our sides hurt.

We leave the beaches and head for the desert. At first the beauty was lost on us but as we explored Palm Desert and Joshua Tree we realized that the desert has a unique beauty that grows on you.

We had a fabulous time in Santa Barbara as we had our first taste of warm weather and lounging on the beach.

Curtis did an amazing job towing our 33′ trailer behind our diesel truck down the Pacific Coast Highway. Around every corner was another breathtaking scene…and there were a lot of corners!

We thoroughly enjoyed our time in Eureka seeing all of the beautiful heritage buildings. We then spent time in Monterey Bay and absolutely loved the Monterey Bay/Santa Cruz KOA.

This week’s video we wrap up our adventure on the Oregon coastline. We have fallen in love with this state’s unbelievable beauty and will surely return year after year. There was so much to see and not near enough time to see it all; thankfully, we will be back year after year.

We used the word stunning over and over but we just couldn’t help ourselves. Depoe Bay was just beautiful as was every other place we stopped to gasp in awe at the scenery! I’m surprised we made it to our campsite on time!

.

.

You ever had one of “those” days? We both had a huge to-do lists and we really should have buckled down and got them done but…Curtis asked if I wanted to go for a drive and the answer ‘yes’ was out of my mouth before he was done asking!

We spent over a year researching what we wanted for an RV and in the end we landed on an ORV Blackstone 250RDS Titanium. No regrets…although Curtis still drools over Marathon and Dutch Star coaches and I still drool over Airstreams.

Part 2 of the road trip with my momma. This lady is the funniest person I know. She is also one of the strongest people I know and she is my hero!

This was a once in a lifetime road trip with my momma. We rented a little motorhome(our trailer was getting warranty work done) and hit the road so that Granny could see her great grandkids in Alberta and Saskatchewan. It was an incredibly special trip filled with a whole lot of laughs!

Well we thought we knew exactly what we were getting ourselves into…maybe not quite!
